I think I figured it out.
Aug. 24th, 2005 08:14 amIf I don't actually do anything, I won't be able to mess them up.
There.
I said it.
If all my projects stay unfinished there's still the chance that they might be worthwhile someday. Once they ARE finished, they'll all go into the big box of failures and I'll have to mark another thing off the list of things I might be good at.

POSSUMS!
Date: 2005-08-29 03:28 am (UTC)I have seen some of the things you SAY are finished.. like that lovely picture with the pearls for each year of your life.... Perhaps its not the finishing, but the letting go that you need to work on... Many artists have the problem of picking their work apart. JUST do something and let it speak!
Its funny, now that I have a sewing job, I sew more than I have in forever, even in my spare time! Just work on stuff and let it go.. if you must, purposefully leave something unfinished... like an undetailed leaf, ina forrest painting, then you kNOW it isnt finished, but still let it go.. it could be a trademark.. :P
Oh did I mention...
I MISS YOU!!!!!!

Date: 2005-08-30 01:38 am (UTC)I've been working at the elementary school K3 and K4. Ages 2 to 4. They're running me crazy. And I have my first head cold in ages. *grump*
I'm starting to wish I had one of those sleep masks you were telling me about! The sun still hasn't set.
How's my baby?
