I did the girly yesterday. My mom and sister and I went and got pedicures and manicures. My toenails are now 'midnight green' which is just a tad darker than 'mint chocolate ice cream' green. I was thoroughly beaten up by the massage chair. I've never sat in one so I thought it was supposed to do that. Turns out it was cranked up to 'butter-churning' mode. It also turns out that watching my teeth get rattled is entertaining.

In the meantime, the perfect darkness of the mountain night has been ruined. Our new neighbors have a million watt garage light that pierces the blue-blackness and freaks out the fireflies. It freaked me out a little too. I looked out my window at some point in the night and realized groggily that not only was the shed glowing, but patches of the field around it were too. So I sat there a minute, and went feeling around for my glasses, and took another look. Still glowing.

I'm no stranger to weird lights, so I was thinking that maybe it was foxfire or something, but I went out to look closer. I glanced to the right as I came around the corner and was skewered through the eyeballs by that cursed garage light. It was kinda like an alien abduction. I imagine. Sooo, on the way to the manicure place, we stopped to buy some trees and shrubs. There's gotta be some landscaping done if we're gonna be able to stand being sociable.
