I just got a call from the folks! They're at the L.A. airport.

I asked how the trip was going and there was a pause and Dad said that Mom had been patted down. I asked what she had done to arouse suspicion. Dad handed the phone over and my mother said, "Don't ever wear a hoodie to the L.A. airport and refuse to take it off when they ask."

"Did they find anything?" I asked, being a smartass.

"Nope. I was clean. L.A. is secure. And the weather is 72 degrees!"

"Then why didn't you take the hoodie off??"

"Because there was nothing on underneath it! Smartass."



Heehee! I love my parents. They're so much fun.

Now what you do is climb into a box, poke a few holes into it and mail yourself to them. (Heh.)

I had a friend who recently had to attend their company's big convention--in Detroit, Michigan. (This in spite of the fact that the company is headquarted in San Diego. *sigh* I'd probably quit if my company pulled crap like that on me...)
