Blown Away

In case you don't recognize it, that's the Ms. Mulch/Wicked Witch theme from Wizard of Oz. They tell me the wind is at 70 miles an hour now. All I know is last night I couldn't sleep because the house was shaking so hard and it looks like it'll be worse tonight.
At home in WV, when the wind came howling off the mountain, it would sound like water. My Mom has nightmares about tidal waves, which is odd for a WV native. We figure it's a past life memory. (Or possibly more likely, a past death memory..) The sound of the wind slamming into our old farmhouse and moaning through the trees would keep her up at night, somewhere between the fear of drowning, the fear of having the roof collapse on us, and the fear of simply being swept away.
Here, we are much closer to the ocean. However it's just an intangible restlessness that's making us all crazy. We're trapped in the house! And the wind won't stop or go away. The noise and the pressure are constant.
The good news is I got most of my paper finished. Now I just have to cite a bunch of theorists to explain why I think what I wrote might be accurate. Mrgh. How much trouble would I get in if I just invented a bunch of theorists?
"And this had been proven by behavioral scientist, Neimyer Vanderfluff. Really. He's Austrian, I think. What?"
Hey, it could work...
