unknownfateThis is from yesterday when I was languishing at the Hotel 6.
9:30 am
Having called everybody I could think of, I went to the front desk to ask what was in walking distance. The answer? A gas station. Great. The gas station attendant told me there was a shopping center about a mile away, so I walked until I had blisters in that direction and never saw it, so I went back. The good news is that even if the gas station didn’t have Luna bars, I wouldn’t starve. I saw ripe blueberry bushes, blackberry bushes, and an apple tree.
I also saw three rabbits alongside the 5 lane highway. One was one of those black and white Rex bunnies, so it looked a little out of place. I was pondering chasing it down and delivering it to the nearby house to see if it was theirs. But in their yard, happily grazed two black lop-eared bunnies. So I left it alone.
There is also a library, but I can’t figure out how to get to it. I think I’d have to get up on the interstate and walk across the overpass and I’m not sure it would be worth it. Besides that, I still have my nest-guarding instincts on high from the airport ordeal. I don’t want to leave my stuff unguarded for long.

Froud has disappeared. I mean I know she’s in here somewhere… It’s a hotel room, and a weenie one at that, but I can’t find her! I’ve been through the room three times! She’s invisible all of a sudden, and I’m getting nervous. She was here when I came back from the vending machine. But now I can’t find her! Anywhere! Nngh!

Froud’s back. The mother ship must’ve returned her because she just strolled into sight and crawled up next to me. My poor nerves.

The fourth wave of cleaning staff has come through. Every time the door knocks I hope it’s somebody I know. But it isn’t. Nobody’s close enough to visit.
Aren't I pitiful? I'm still not home. That'll be tomorrow unless something else goes wrong. Surely I'm due some good luck by now!
