Me: "I know...."
Other: "I didn't even KNOW you were all stressed out. Aren't you stressed out? I bet you are. How could you not be with this hanging over you?"
Me: "Yessss. I am."
Other: "Why didn't you TELL somebody? We could've have crippled you with hourly reminders of what you aren't accomplishing."
Me: "Hey. I'm an adult. I'm more than capable of crippling myself, thank you."
Other: "Well, I guess... But still, you know what will happen if you don't get this done, right? Think of the stress! Think of the worry! Doesn't your stomach just knot up?? How can you sit there and not be gnawing your own limbs off! Aren't you frantic? Aren't you freaked out?? Aren't you-"
Me: "AUUUUUUGGGGHHHHH!" *run from the room*
Other: ".... Hunh! High-strung little twit, isn't she?"
Me: "I know...."
