It's good to be home

unknownfateAs always there's some sensory overload after leaving flatlands of endless white to nestle in the Appalachian foothills. A million shades of green dazzle the eyes.
And last night? The stars were AWESOME. If you've never been out in the sticks at night, you may not know how dark nighttime really is. It's DARK. But the stars were out and they were amazing.
And today? It's bright and windy, so the hills of tall grass on both sides have silver highlights on the bright green and the wind had them swaying and shimmering. I'm supposed to be cleaning, but I keep getting distracted!
And it's not just the out of doors that's hurting my productivity... I have all my old books and sketchbooks and general STUFF to sort through again. Every summer, I reread all my Elfquests and Sword n Songs and everything else that gets left for whatever reason. (Usually because there's a 50 lb weight limit on luggage.)
But, back to work!
