Does anybody know what an adult dose of hypertension medicine would do to a three year old?

Because a child in my K3 class decided to go rummaging in my aide's purse when she was supposed to be on a desperately needed potty break. When I went to check on her, she was trying to get the pills open with some scissors. I screeched. She apologized. I fussed at her, made her put everything back, and sent her back out with the other kids. In less than a friggin' minute, in the time it took me to walk out and tell my aide that she might want to stash her purse, that child was back inside and had smeared lipstick on her face and had the pills open. I walked right back in, thankfully, and caught her a second time.

This time, it looked like she'd eaten some. I just thought I screeched before. I yelled. The kid yelled. I grabbed her and got her contact info to call her parents. She started screaming "NOOOOO!!" and I took her with me to the nearest phone to call home. God only knows what her parents must've thought when they got the message I left. There's me squealing about pills being eaten and purses being desecrated and in the background, their daughter howling like she's being beaten. My aide counted her medicine and there wasn't any missing, so I called back, slightly calmer this time, to apologize for being so freaked out and to let them know the kid was all right.

The step-mom came to the school and I talked to her. She told me they've caught the girl trying to eat pills before. So, hopefully they won't sue.

I'm gonna need some pills of my own before too long, if this keeps up.

We've never had a kid that got into EVERYTHING EVERYDAY like this. It's because of her that the whole class hasn't got to paint. She poured it out everywhere when she was supposed to be at another potty break.
