Phew. It had to rain soon. It's so muggy. And I'm cooking which doesn't help.

I've got a NC trip to plan. eternal_chimera is in the hospital so I'm gonna go see her at Baptist as soon as I can. I have to do some car maintenance first. We just got back from Myrtle Beach, so the Blissy-mobile is tired. She needs her plugs and her brakes worked on before I hit the road anywhere farther than Kmart. If somebody is close enough, go give her a visit. Tell her to knock it off and get better or something.

In the meantime, the beach ruined my 'no pop' rule. I was doing so well, too. But! I did find Jones soda, which has no caffiene or corn syrup. And so far, none of the usual pop side effects on me. So yay.

In the meantime, I can't work on the car because my sister's family had gone to Wallyworld. I can't call eternal_chimera because we're waiting on the exterminator to call for directions, and for the doctor to call with test results.

Infernal delays....

I don't know why I gave this message that heading. I just always thought that nursery rhyme was worrying.
So pop makes you freak out, ey? Well, we'll see if I can't sort you out when you come over... I'm pretty sure there's some locally-brewed fizzystuffs over here which are au natural... what sort of side effects do you get anyway? Some sort of Jekyll and Hyde moment?
Was it you who told me about your friend Drew and the Mountain Dew? Or was it somebody else? They don't sell it here anymore. Neither do they sell Lucky Charms. Sob.
And why are you waiting for the Doc? Are you okay?

I have an inner ear problem and a cyst that are both aggravated by caffiene, artificial sweeteners, and sodium. Which pretty much leaves pop out... Tea doesn't seem to hurt me unless I drink a whole lot, but pop makes the cyst ache, and the ear ring louder, and the dizziness come on faster. Bad news all around.

But the Dr. call was for Mom.
