Jan. 1st, 2007 11:22 amHappy New Years
The fireworks are watched, the resolutions are made... And I have found new spooky ghost stories to keep me jumpy. I hope everybody can face the new year with hope and that it will be better than the last. I'm going to try to learn from my mistakes this time around the sun. One of last year's resolutions was not to waste time on people who don't return the favor. I still do. I'm don't take hints, even when I get them.
But anyway, I considered listing my new resolutions here, but some of them are kind of personal. And to be honest, if nobody knows them, they won't be able to tell if I mess em up by, oh say February... I will say that I have the usual self-help ones about eating better and getting more exercise, and about helping out more, finding worthwhile charities, and that sort of thing. We'll see!
As pointless as the whole thing may be, I need whatever excuse I can get to try to improve myself. Otherwise, I just sit and watch the Travel Channel in my ratty jeans and wonder if it's worth it to walk to the kitchen to dig out a pudding cup. Barrow once made the Mens Outdoor Journal's* '5 Worst Places to Spend New Years' list. I wish I could remember what the other four were.
*Or something like that. It was a few years ago.

Date: 2007-01-03 09:20 am (UTC)I'll be needing a new place to live come next October 1. (It's too bad my health insurance prevents me from moving to another state, otherwise I'd join you in...wherever the heck you're going...)
