There has to be some option. If your mom n' dad don't cave in, are there any relatives that would help take care of one of your cats until you're ready to take it back? Will you ask around? What if you paid them for catfood while they did so? What other friends do you have that are cat owners? Heck, if I lived in the states, with my own place you know I'd take care of one of them for you till you're ready to take 'em back. Man, this is making me frustrated too.
