Random Memory from NC Days
Jul. 7th, 2014 08:33 pmI was hanging out at a diner with some of the larpers. I wasn't part of their game, just hanging out and one of my friends came to sit with me. She asked for a piece of paper and I had to dig in my bottomless satchel to get some. While I was trying to find my notebook, she saw the Bible I had in my bag.
"Do you read that?" she asked me. She sounded wary, but I didn't care because I had finally found my ye olde spiral notebook.
"Yep," I said.
"Like, religiously?" she insisted, still looking concerned. It took her a minute to figure out why I started laughing.
"Shut up," she said, but she laughed a little bit too. It was years later that I found out she was an athiest, which explains why she was so uncertain about what I would say. I don't know why I thought of that today. I haven't talked to her since we both moved away. I hope she's ok.
