Movie Night!

I remember reading The Leaf Men and the Good Brave Bugs to the preschoolers awhile back, but I was not prepared for how PRETTY everything was. All the designs were awesome and the little hummingbirds all in tack and all the arrows!
I couldn't believe two of the main characters kept wandering off from the royal pod. The pod is going to save them all UNLESS something happens to it. THINGS ARE ACTIVELY TRYING TO HAPPEN TO IT! DON'T WANDER OFF! I'm not saying I've always been a fuddydud square, but if there was a pod that was going to save my whole world, and everybody kept saying "Stay with the pod. Keep the pod safe. If anything happens to the pod…" it would not leave my sight or my hands. There would be no rambling moonlit deer rides.
Also, if I was MK and the leafmen were mocking my Dad's attempt to 'discover' them, I would be LIVID. I might even scream at them that their messing around and letting him catch just glimpses of them had cost him everything. That everyone thought he was crazy because of them. That my mother had left him because of them. That I had been kept away from him because of them. That he lived alone and I had lost him too, because of them.
If I was still in a temper, I could've left their forest to rot and gone home. With me as proof, my Dad could've validated all his research and been famous. It's what they get for crossing me. And there's my super-villain origin, right there.
I take my animated movies a little too seriously.
But anyway, absolutely gorgeous design and well worth seeing.
