It's Practically Here!

It's Christmas Eve Eve!

It snuck up on me this year, guys. On one hand, I've got everything ready. On the other, it's been unseasonably warm and rainy and it feels like it should still be the first week of December or something. It doesn't feel like Christmas. Or maybe it's me that doesn't feel like it. I'm not feeling Christmasy! I was before. Wrapping and decorating and all that had me in the mood. I was wearing a Santa hat and drinking eggnog and scampering around like a jolly elf, and now that it's almost here, I'm anxious about it. I figure it'll be better tomorrow when the family comes in and then I can put my jingly hat back on and get back into the obnoxious spirit of the thing.

Dude, I hear ya. We should have had at least two feet of snow by now, and I think the grand total is a paltry non-consecutive inch and a half. :-/ I've been so caught up in things of late that I think I was actually more in a Christmas spirit on the first of the month than I am now. On the other hand, we've managed to take care of all our gifts and errands, so we can actually spend the weekend having a holiday. xD
