Got the new computer that I ordered before I found out I wasn't going to have a job in two months. It is nice. Gotta get used to this touchpad though. Seems... touchier. I'll need to name it. Any suggestions?

And now I can begin to fic again! As soon as, you know, the whole house is packed and taken to the post office. Le sigh. I'd hire somebody to do it for me except for the whole out-of-work thing that's looming. I've always been fairly frugal, but the prospect of no steady paycheck sends me right back to squirreling away acorns. For the winter!

I'm sending good thoughts your way that everything is smooth and speedy in getting you situated. New computer means you're set on that front for a while, at least- no old computer spazzing out on you in the middle of a job search.

I'm terrible at picking names for my electronics. I tried naming my new portable hard drive Adrian, but I probably doomed it with that name since it kept crashing and generally being bothersome. And then I returned it; no squids for my computer, thanks.
