She went out to the courthouse to witness some hearing or another about teaching matters in the state and ended up in front of a reporter saying her piece. She has barely been retired a week and she’s on the news. Just the local news so far, but she went back again today. Brace yourselves.
Before that though, Mom the Newsworthy also made homemade strawberry jam and its awesome. I helped. I washed the jelly jars and stirred until it boiled and measured the sugar and stuff like that. Mom then made Itty-Bitty Biscuits and when the twins came over, we ate them with butter and jam and just stuffed ourselves full as little hamsters.
We also loaded up the gigantic prehistoric dresser with the huge-o-mirror and took it down the road to a new home. The thing weighs as much as a car by itself.
Also, I saved a turtle off the road this morning. Well, he may have been fine, but I went around him on my way out and he was still there when I came back so I pulled over to get him off the asphalt. He didn’t even pull into his shell when I walked up, just looked over his shoulder at me and squinted. He looked kind of hungover, to be honest, and in no shape to be on the road, so I scooped him up and put him in the far ditch. There’s my good karma for the day.
In other news, the moon looks awesome tonight. I doubt my pictures will come out, but we’ll see.
