Well, today's the day the sun comes back.

Today is also the day that we have an unprecedented second snow day! Woohoo! Blizzard conditions. I woke up to hear the wind roaring, which always makes me smile. I like weather to be weather. If the wind is gonna blow, let it howl.

So we might not see the sun today. But I get to lay around and watch the snow drift up around us. The only downside is I was gonna finish getting ready for the luau party at work, and now I can't. Oh well! I may have to scramble tomorrow, but it's all good.

We hardly EVER get snow days. Which makes sense, I guess, when there's always a few feet of snow and the temperature spends most of the year in the -20 or -30s, with varying degrees of windchill. It's a fun contrast to NC where they shut down Greensboro for a frost.

No kidding, I went out once in Greensboro, with barely an inch of snow and some sleet predicted later in the day. Nothing was open! Not even McDonalds! No wait, I take that back. Jan's House was open. I got an egg sandwich.

Maybe I'll make one now! Hmmm.

The first peek of sunlight over the Barrow horizon. That's all we got, and then it set again. But it's something! It's light and color in an arctic world! And the storm broke enough for us to see it. All good.
