Contest of Wills
Feb. 22nd, 2007 10:20 pmI spent all afternoon trying to get online. It wouldn't work. Finally, on my last ditch try before I went to bed, the connection connected. Hallelujah.
But no one had emailed me. Sigh. All that hope and five hours of refresh button pushing for nothing! IM wouldn't work at all. So, if you're out there, waiting to hear from me, sorry. Send me an email instead!
There have been plenty of days with no correspondence before, so I'm not sure why this one leaves me in such a soap opera-y state of gloom. Maybe it's because I spent part of the day trying to think of what to write someone who really doesn't care what I write them. And then I get mad at myself for wasting the time it takes to remind someone who wouldn't lift a finger to point me out to the lifeguard if I was being eaten by sharks that I do still exist. I mean, if they cared, they might've responded to the last four letters I sent right?
I really can take a hint, you know. I just choose to ignore them. It seems only fair. I will ignore the ignoring of me. We'll see who cracks first.
