I can't tell you what a beautiful night it is. The moon is just a hair away from being full and it's all golden. I just got home from dinner at my Godparents' house and it's bright enough to go running around outside now.
But I won't. As much as I love barefooting around after dark, I'm here by myself, and it would just be my luck to fall in a sinkhole or get bitten by a snake or something when there's no one to help me. It's tempting though... One thing I miss about the Sarasota LARP sessions was that we did a lot of tearing around after dark in groups. We didn't do much of it barefoot because there were huge fire ant colonies behind the library where we played. Still, we got to climb trees and sing at the moon and other such giddy geekery. Or geeky giddiness.
The moon holds her sway. It's going to be hard to get to sleep no matter what I do.
