Herding jello
Aug. 25th, 2005 05:55 pmI worked as a teacher's aide at the elementary school today. In the K3 and K4 section, meaning the three and four year olds. Now personally, I think that kids that young shouldn't even be thinking about school, much less dropped off at 8 am to weep and howl and wipe their noses on everything with a bunch of strangers.
I chased the little dears up and down. One cried so hard he choked on his own phlegm and lay in the floor sobbing between gasps for air. Another has excema and when he works himself into a conniption it sets off the itching. So he's screaming for his mother and crying his eyes out and scratching bloodly welts into his arms and scalp. And one had sharp little pirahna teeth, which I thought was creepy.
But anyway. I'm goinf back tomorrow. And Monday. Until they hire somebody for the job. Wish me luck.
