Sep. 1st, 2004 04:38 pmPhew... Not quite together yet. I drove around with Jason til about 2 am and then stayed up til 3 reading Zebra Girl. All in all, a good time! I'm just about ready for Dragoncon. All I have left to pack is the toothbrush. I can't wait! Yee! Such fun.
There is some worry that the hurricane will make the trip difficult, but I'm not the one worried. I've driven through hurricanes, blizzards, tornadoes, wildfires, and typhoons. Not to tell old stories, but I've been 17 days without electricity, seen washing machines bouncing by in the wind, watched windows bow inward from the pressure changes, had trampolines blown over the house and knock off a lightning rod, and had to thaw out food that froze solid in the cabinets when the furnace went out.
I've also been beaned on the head by an air conditioner that the wind pushed through the window into the house. Storms don't bother me. Some might blame the head trauma for that. (It really wasn't that bad...I came around very quickly...)
