Feb. 16th, 2009 10:45 pmI had another dizzy spell last night. Luckily I was already in bed. The bad news is that I can't blame the spell on any movement because I was just flopped there. However, since I was already perfectly still I did notice the jerk. When the dizzy spell hit, it was a physical enough shock that I jerked. It really is like being hit in the head with a dizzy stick!
There's the 'impact', the flinch, and then the dizziness shakes me like a dog toy for a few seconds. Then ping! All gone! And I get a little giggly from the adrenaline that I guess comes from the shock. And then when that fades, I get a headache. I don't know enough about body chemistry to be sure of what all is going on, but not being upright and falling and then having to explain to everyone who gathered around did let me notice a little more of this one.
Now, the last doctor I went to pretty much told me that unless I was having a dizzy spell the exact moment he examined me, there was nothing he could do. He did however give me a prescription for something to take when I DID get dizzy, which just happens to be the same size and shape as Dramamine. Hmmm. Since these spells are hitting me out of nowhere though, and are gone before I even have a chance to fumble for 'my pills!' I really don't see what good that's going to do me.

Dizzy SUCKS. I have had alot less if the dizzies inthe last year. I dont know if I should blame that on meds, or just new friendships and ending old toxic ones.
