So I'm in the kitchen making homemade cream of mushroom soup (trying to cutdown on sodium and there's enough in the canned stuff to cure a ham.)and I realize that I don't have the amount of thyme required by the recipe.

"Oh noes!" I said to the cat. "We're all out of thyme! Run!"

Then, I cracked up. That one was unintentional, but then I spent the next 5-10 minutes stirring constantly and cracking bad thyme puns to myself. Yes, to myself. The cat left in disgust after the first snort and giggle. (and with a punned expression. Hah!)

It doesn't take much on Thursday nights, guys. I should probably keep such goofiness to myself, but after yesterday, it's a relief to be silly and stupid.

I've been good. I was in Japan for a while doing all the big touristy stuff. Before that I was trapped with all my friends and family doing holiday stuff. Basically from Thanksgiving until New years I stayed in Greensboro except for a few days with Maile and my family. then after I went to Japan and just got back. Internet access has benn limited at best. I was just able to get caught up on all of your things last night. I understand travel just like you. I had to retire my one good suitcase after this one. The frame is warped and the handles have been snapped off.
