Why doesn't fate like me?

Earlier, I said something cheerful and obnoxious to siarwenevenstar about how three days wasn't too long a time. Fate decided to call me on it and has stranded in Anchorage (AGAIN!!) for four days.

UNLESS (and I've got every single finger crossed, makes it really hard to type)I can get out on standby first thing in the morning. The first flight leaves at 4am, and if there's an empty seat, I'm willing to suitcase battle royale for it. If I can't get a standby seat, I am stuck here until the 25th, which means I won't get home until the 26th. Which makes me sad.

How I hate air travel. Remember back in August? The volcano? This time it's an ice storm.

In other news, I've finished my fics for the 31_Days_Exchange. I was all set to post them all in one fantastic fic post extravaganza, but then I checked the requirements and I have to post them all one by one. I posted my first six sitting here. I may do more later as the hours stretch on. The woman next to me has a lapful of sausage. I hope she doesn't look over and read this. Not that it matters.

Anyway, wish me luck getting out of here! More as it develops.

I guess I'll find a hotel with internet access and hole up, alone and miserable on Christmas Eve. There are people here that would put me up if they knew I was here, and I had any idea how to get hold of them. Sadly, they don't and I don't and it's four more hours until I can try to check in again.
