I had forgotten how much I love that video... 1000 Miles from Nowhere by Dwight Yoakam. I don't care if you don't like country music. I remember the first time I heard the song and saw the video and how I felt then, and seeing it again is just a flashback to that time. It has been awhile. Maybe there subliminal symbolism in the trains and the tight pants. It doesn't even matter. There's power there. I caught the last bit of of it on the 100 Best Country Videos and had to look it up to see the whole thing.

And wow, I needed that. I'm still writing the paper. I have three pages left to meet the minimum requirement, and then I need to make a powerpoint presentation of it to show while I read the paper. I have until Thursday. Sigh. I'd much rather watch the last 35 Best Country Videos. It's kind of nice to see music videos on tv anyway.

I have such a varied taste in music. I like a little bit of everything. Putting my mp3 player on shuffle is a surreal experience for everyone, but probably at least one song that everyone will like, too. Tonight, it's Dwight.
