New Wall-E fic.

I think I figured out why I liked that movie so much... All the little moments. There's one cute, clever, or heartbreaking thing after another. Even if it's just a little thing, you won't go more than a minute without one. The first one that comes to mind is when Wall-E is trying to explain bubble wrap to EVE. Not an important plot point at all, just a few seconds on screen, but they made is so that you hear his little robot voice trying to imitate the 'pop' noise and it's a heartwarming few seconds.

Or! When he's on the outside of the ship, looking in at EVE in stasis? Remember that? And he's knocking on the glass to try to get her to look and see the stars? And, and just the awe and excitement they managed to put in that little robot voice? That was awesome.

Ok, I'll stop. I could go on, but I won't. Nothing for it but to batten down the hatches and try to hold out til it's on DVD.

HOMYGOSH. You wrote something for my brand new shiny fandom. AND IT IS SO PRETTY~!!!

I'm sorry for the capslock, I just... I'm so gung-ho about Wall-E, man. I've seen it five times already. Yeah I know I'm lame but it just really touched me right there in the very middle of my heart. Exactly because of those little moments. The bubble wrap thing is the bit that really won me over and made me totally fall in love with that movie.

I'll try not to go on. It's so TEMPTING, but I won't.

I had to! I HAD to! I've only seen it three times, but I've gone merchandise-happy to make up for it. The only reason I don't have the little iDance Wall-E is because I haven't seen one yet. I'm probably only a little north of making icons. I see you already have one!

One? Dude, I have like, seven. And that's only because I don't have proper screenshots yet.

I only have a little Wall-E figurine (which I got BEFORE the movie came out here because he was too cute to bear), and I need to buy an EVE and a M-O because he looks so lonely. I'm sorely tempted to grab an electronic Wall-E of some sort, but Lith said it's overkill and she's kinda right. Instead, I'll go see the movie a sixth time (god, DVD, come out SOONER).

Glad to know I'm not the only one who can't stop, anyhow!

I am tempted by the one that plays mp3s. And if it does his little Hello Dolly dance, I may well swoon.

You know what I really, REALLY want?

A mobile audio-animatronic Wall-E. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRZ5Lj1InBQ)

Sure, he wouldn't even fit in my room, but... LOOK AT HIM.

Yes! You must! It's my favorite movie of the summer, and my current obsession.
