Feb. 25th, 2018 09:03 pmSo things are weird at work. We're not officially on strike because the superintendent is calling off school instead of hiring replacements. We're alternating between picketing at school and going to the capitol to wave our signs there.
I just want it over so we can go back to our kids and back to normal. No one wants to do this. But it's important. It isn't just us that had to deal with PEIA. A lot of public employees do, too. We've had bus drivers and highway workers and EMTs and sanitation workers and state troopers come and thanks us for standing up. They can't walk out without losing their jobs. The good news is that we have a lot of support from our principals and superintendent and community members, so we may come through this without too much misery.
Still. It's weird and I wish it was already over.
