Had my ENT appointment today. They took blood. Vial after vial of precious blood.

I can't tell you what a relief it is to have competent blood-letters. I barely felt it. I was raised in a small town where the family medical center was staffed by truly ancient Dunkard nurses. So very, very old these ladies were that it usually took them three or four stabs to find a vein, and at least two to prick your finger for the physicals. After years of that, I became skittish of needles.

This lady though, didn't squint or croon tunelessly, or stab nearsightedly at my arm or finger with a syringe. She tied off my arm, adjusted my wrist a bit, there was a teeny-tiny jab I barely noticed, and in no time at all, I had many vials of blood all full.

I also had a hearing test and some mild handling, and the doctor's fly was open the whole time, but he didn't hit on me at all which was a huge improvement over my last doctor visit.

In other news, I have a new camera now, we went to see Monsters vs Aliens in 3D, and if any of you are ever in Fairbanks go to The Comic Shop. The guy who runs it is awesome, and there's lots of cool stuff in there.
