not very spoilery
Aug. 6th, 2008 08:00 pmNew Wall-E fic.
I think I figured out why I liked that movie so much... All the little moments. There's one cute, clever, or heartbreaking thing after another. Even if it's just a little thing, you won't go more than a minute without one. The first one that comes to mind is when Wall-E is trying to explain bubble wrap to EVE. Not an important plot point at all, just a few seconds on screen, but they made is so that you hear his little robot voice trying to imitate the 'pop' noise and it's a heartwarming few seconds.
Or! When he's on the outside of the ship, looking in at EVE in stasis? Remember that? And he's knocking on the glass to try to get her to look and see the stars? And, and just the awe and excitement they managed to put in that little robot voice? That was awesome.
Ok, I'll stop. I could go on, but I won't. Nothing for it but to batten down the hatches and try to hold out til it's on DVD.
