We went out to the Dewline for Jimmy Buffet night. The Northern Lights were really cool. There were three green rivers of them. And the pina coladas were fantastic.
By the time we left, the Lights were gone, but the moon was out. It was a half moon, and so bright that it lit up all the snow and ocean into a silver haze. It was a weird sensation to look out into it, almost like an alien landscape. There was no horizon or vanishing point or anything like a house or tree to give any sort of bearing to it. It was just a whole eternity of silver light off snow and water going on and on.
Today, the wind is just howling. I can hear it now. In other news, I found the clip of Stephen Colbert singing with Barry Manilow and am badgering my Dad to watch it too. I am also madly in love with the Billy Joel song '2000 Years'. I just heard it today. How did I miss that one? I'll blame it on being in Barrow.
And that's the Saturday Report. On to the rest of the weekend!
