Finally!

I was doing the 50 Book thing over at [livejournal.com profile] 50bookchallenge but I completely slacked off. I finally got my first 10 finished.

1. The Man Who Heard Voices by Michael Bamberger
2. Planetary Vol. 1
3. Book of the Dead by Preston & Child
4. Waters Luminous & Deep by Meredith Pierce
5. Red Moon Rising by Billie Sue Mosiman
6. The Spiderwick Chronicles 1: The Field Guide by Black and Diterlizzi
7. Strata by Terry Pratchett
8. The Tale of Artrix Wolfe by Patricia McKillip
9. The Pennsylvania Ghost Guide Vol 1 by Patty Wilson
10. The Iron Woman by Ted Hughes

I was tempted to write a little review of each, but nah. If you're curious about one of 'em, just ask.

My congratz! :)

I think I read Strata... What is The Iron Woman about?

It's about a giant woman made of iron who emerges out of a marsh when a waste processing plant starts dumping pollution into it. It's meant to be an enviromental warning story but it gets cartoony fast when people start turning into fish and eels. I liked it for the imagery in it, but I think the last third of it or so was weird. Even for a story about a giant iron woman who wakes up in a swamp.
