Meanwhile in Tingly-wingly Pixie-wixie Land

It’s a tinkly-winkly day in Barrow. We had more snow last night, with just enough ice to make everything sparkle like Magic Sugarplum Fairy Sweet Dreams Land. It’s pretty. It's shiny.

My mood is much improved since I found the thermostat. Barrow is not the place it should be too hot to sleep. I was so hot and cranky the other day that Mom was worried. I was all red in the face and surly. Turns out, I was just too hot. But after roaming the house a few times, I found the thermostat and knocked it down about 10 degrees. Ahhhhhhhh! I was able to sleep all night, which I haven’t done since the sun came back up.

Of course, my parents were shivering and puzzled by morning, but I explained and my state of mind was so much better that they did get the windows open for me. I had been trying to pry them open the day before but couldn’t because they were all frozen shut. Maybe it’s cabin fever, or claustrophobia, or I’m just plain crazy. All I know is I feel much better now.

I can't sleep when it's too hot either. We have an air conditioner here but it's too expensive to use (I miss the USA!). Korea is very different when it comes to warming and cooling the house (the heat comes up through the floor and the cool air comes out through a standing unit in the living room). We just keep a fan in our room to keep it cool.

Sunday is coming up. Time for some scary lamb shots, hm? >;)

If I go, I'll try! When is the winter season in Korea so you can just open the windows?

Ah, glad to hear that fitful sleep returns to you! I am bad at sleeping lately. Mostly due to my bizzarre aversion to routine.

Anyway I found this, snicker, chuckle, etc. XD

I know you suffered enough under my temperature tyranny... But I just get crazy from the heat.

(I sent you an email the other day to ask about September. Any thoughts on that?)

I can't bear the heat either. My bedroom window has been open since January. I had to shut it when I came home for Easter, and on returning, I was gulping like some sort of scalded fish when I set foot in my room. I hung out the window for a bit trying to see if Bangorian air was any good for internally burnt lungs. Took a coupla days for it all to cool down to my satisfaction.
My Friend Heather, who comes from up North cracks me up.
"Eeee, by 'eck luv, it's bloomin' Baltic in 'ere!"
But I likes it. XX

I just opened the door and stood there in a tshirt and undies. It's a good thing our neighbors don't have windows on that side... But laying directly under the ceiling fan just wasn't doing the job!
