I have finished my NaNoWriMo story. Unfortunately, I am still a few thousand words short.

But the story is finished!

But, I want to do 50k!

But I don't want to go through and convert all my contractions to two words! and even if I did, it probably wouldn't be enough.

Sigh.

Add smells.

Alternatively, look for two pages without any scenery described, and see if you need some.

Alternatively, look for sections of dialogue that are missing a sense of the speakers' 'presence' -- are they bodies inhabiting space that move, do other things while they're talking, or is it floating words?

Alternatively, add a prologue!

My prologue is 77 chapters long! I was trying to get this beast finished at long last. The smells are a good idea. Maybe I'll try that. Last year it was descriptions of food. This year, it may be smells and conversations.
