October is off to a grim start.

It's just one thing after another...

A woman has gone missing out on the tundra, so search and rescue is out there trying to find her. She's been gone since Friday. And back home, my aunt may or may not still be with us. I haven't heard either way. I said before that these things happen in threes, but this puts us up to five. Six if you count both the little girls that drowned.

Oh no, I'm so sorry. I'll be thinking of you and your family, and the woman.

Thank you. I can't believe so much distress has been packed into one week! I'm afraid to even ask out loud what might happen next.

Oh wow

And here I was going to complain about the snow falling outside right now, or the fact that your area is currently warmer than ours, but stuff like this certainly puts our petty problems into perspective.
By the way, I've been casting BJD heads and hands left and right lately, and experimenting with resin dye and I should hopefully have some progress pictures to send to you. I hope it will make you feel a little better at least...

Good news finally! They found the missing woman alive and well except for having frostbitten feet and losing 16 lbs walking for most of a week to get home. And! My aunt at home pulled through, thank goodness. And to add to the Twilight Zone goings-on, it is windy, but well above zero and not snowing at all! It's kinda creepy.
