the squeamish should look away

There may be other places in the world where you can look out the kitchen window while getting a drink of water and see your neighbor out on his front porch, pulling the skin off a caribou with his bare hands, but it's the first time its happened to me. I looked up in time to see him snap a hoof backwards and start peeling the leg hide back to the shoulder.

It's probably just as bad that I'm taking pictures of my neighbors on the sly. Give me 30 years and I'll be peeking through blinds with the best of em!

Smile! You're on candid camera!

Perhaps nows the time to go next door and ask for some caribou steak.

Could be! How was the move? You guys all settled in again?

Yeah, the move was good. We are in our spiffy new place. The place is still a disaster though and we have three more shipments of STUFF on the way- one from California, one from Korea, and one from San Antonio. (So much stuff... will it all fit in one place??) A garage sale may be in order soon...

It's a lot like beef, if the stew I had was any indication.

No just Barrow. Every where else in the world when you kill something and pull it's skin off with your bare hands you are usually eating it on the spot and looking for vultures or wolves or hyenas to fend off with loud noises and flailing, claw filled, hand attacks.
