home again, home again (jiggity jig...)
I'm back! And what a trip it was.
On the way through GA the sky turned black. We started to hear all sorts of nasty tornado and thunderstorm warnings. It started to POUR down rain. There was lightning in all colors and thunder that rattled the windows. A car a little ahead of us got hit by lightning as we crossed a bridge. It was incredible.
This huge fireball of pink light lit up around it. Gold and pink flames rained down on the road and the sound was deafening. The guy in the car was ok, which was a good thing. We had already passed a horrible wreck in the rain. It was a tense few hours until the storm passed. There was sweat and prayers going on!
But we got there all right. We played around on the beach, knocked around in all the little shops, and got to hang out with the Lacey's. We went to Mrs. Lacey's Uncle Jim's estate sale and saw this amazing three story old house and all the ancient stuff in it. We went out to eat at this great seafood place. Me and Dinah got kicked out of a bar. Not only did they think I was 13 years younger than I am, but they also thought I was a boy... Hunh.
The trip back was much more uneventful. We saw a turkey. That's about it!
