Only been back two days and the bad-mouthing begins...

It's been a bad day for meat. Or a day for bad meat.

I had a burger for lunch that, despite my usual Bone Gnawery tummy, did bad things to my internal workings. Much gurglings and poppings and sudden cramp-like pains.

Then, on the way home, I was startled by a pile of caribou heads. Their HEADS. Sitting there in various stages of decomposition. Leering unpleasantly

Then, when I finally did get home, there came the stink of rotten flesh from next door. They must be cleaning out the seal meat pantry from last year or something.

Summertime in Barrow. Gah all around.

Back when I ate meat red meat used to do stuff to my digestive system frequently.

Caribou heads and old seal meat? Ick.

Rural Alaska has many beautiful sights. This town does not happen to be one of them. I'm always glad when the snow starts to fall. It freezes the mud and covers the everything else. I could probably easily give up meat here, just for the grossness factor, but it's the only thing that we can get fresh up here! Sigh...

Ew...

That's horrible! I'd better develop an iron stomach if I come visit you. But for now, ahh... *lazily reclines in vegetarianism*

How's your job as teacher so far?

I remember you telling me about the decomposing animals throughout barrow before. The leering caribou heads made me laugh though. Couldn't help it.
